Q: As an artist who is learning about the elements and principles, different art mediums, techniques and styles, what goal were you to achieve for this particular project? (Identify the Elements and Principles, the medium being used, and the concept).
A: The goal was to draw the still life but also using value, shape, hue, etc.
Q: In your sketchbook you came up with thumbnail ideas. Upon selecting one of those ideas to create for your final project, describe in detail your idea or concept. What are you making and how does this artwork connect to you as the artist?
A: I am making a still life drawing of the 5 Items our table group picked out.
Q: While working with this particular medium, style of art, and selected Elements & Principles, what visual and/or management problems did this project pose for you? Explain. (Conceptualizing ideas, application of chosen idea into production, fine motor skills, overall outcome of idea at completion stage, time management, maintaining a clean work area, putting supplies away, helping clean-up, etc.)
A: The problems I had included spacing, adding value, and shading everything the correct way to make it seem like it has a shadow also.
Q: At completion, identify the strong points of your composition. What did you do well? Explain.
A: I honestly think all of the parts of the project were super good and I added a huge amount of detail to the drawing.
Q: At completion, identify the weak points in your composition. What will you improve upon when making another piece in the future? Explain.
A: One weak point was the spacing though which I could improve on but still spacing wasn't all that bad either.
